Presented is a silver plated GILLETTE "New Standard" shaving razor from around 1922. Wonderfully preserved in it's original leather wrapped steel box and felt lined interior. This razor comes complete with a period correct extra blade container with the GILLETTE logo. It's chrome plated metal and contains more than 30 of the GILLETTE blades demonstrated. Note also that this blade container is uniquely designed to be re-purposed as a match safe when empty and has match striking ridges built into the bottom. The razor itself has a few worn plated areas and some small scratching up under the blade rest/holder. These marks show well in the last photo attached.
Although the case is considerably worn on the outside it is in very good condition on the inside and measures approximately 3 1/2" wide by 2" deep and stands 1 1/2" high. A great old piece to add to any collection. Please call or e-mail us with any questions.
