Presented is a FOLEY can opener from the 1950's with an applied plastic handle and duo tangs. A large tang to punch a hole for pouring and a small one to vent. This was necessary since this was before the invention of cans with pop top tabs. Flip the tool over and it will pop off bottle caps with ease. The ivory colored plastic handle is attached to the overall metal structure and show some signs of age and wear. A little dirty, but there are no chips, cracks or any major marring. Marked "FOLEY" on the top this opener measures approximately 6 ¾" long by 2" wide, across at the widest point and the handle measures ¾" across. An attractive and classic kitchen tool ready to use, display or add to any collection. Please call or e-mail us with any questions.
