This is a really nice pair of Ichimatsu Japanese dolls representing a boy and girl.
I would date them to circa 1940's but there may be some wiggle room as far as date.
They are both dressed in original Japanese clothing and have composition heads, bottom arms and legs.
I cannot see the rest of the bodies because I do not want to remove the clothing so I am guessing that the upper limbs are cloth.
There is an original tag saying dressed by a Japanese servant girl.
Condition: Very good. Girl has a small split down from her ear to her neck on both sides. Boy has a face drawn in pencil on the back of his head. Could be removed but is kind of cute. Largely in lovely fresh condition.
Size: 13 1/2 inches high approx.
