This is a sweet brooch made at the Auckland Exhibition in 1914.
It likely was made by a craftsperson at the fair and ordered by a man for his sweetheart.
The scrolled name on the MOP is Mary, and the little suspended heart says Auckland Exhibition, 1914.
May have been bought by a soldier going to war and given to his girlfriend Mary.
The twisted gold wire is not tested, so may be a gold filled wire.
The pin has the original c clasp and pin.
Touching historical piece of jewelry.
Condition: Some age wear on the metal heart.
Size: 2 3/8 by 1 inch.
