This is a lovely handbag dating to the first half of the 20th century.
It is beaded by first nations women, probably Iroquois and likely to sell to the tourist trade or non native people.
It is done in many shades of beads and the main body of the purse is velvet.
The trim and lining is cotton, and the handle is braided cotton.
The purse has two flaps, one of which allows access to the whole purse and the other which allows access to a small pouch for smaller items.
Well made and very pretty.
Condition: Very good with some loss of the piping material and minor flaws of little consequence.
Size: Purse size 6 inches by 5 1/2 inches. Length with handle is 10 1/2 inches.
