This silver bolo tie has tested to be sterling, as have its hand-made tips, and it is marked Wayne C. for Wayne Cheama, the Zuni silversmith who made it. It is decorated with six matching cabochons of blue turquoise, four cabochons of red coral, and silver balls, and its edges feature deep hand-stamping . This tie was probably made during the 1980's, and it is in very good to excellent condition, with a new black leather cord and no damage or problems.
The centerpiece of this bolo measures 2 1/8 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches at its widest point, and the leather cord is 36 inches long, not including the tips, which are each a bit over 2 inches long. Given its measurements and its classic Native American design, this beautiful tie would be suitable for either a man or a woman to wear, and many a bolo lover would be pleased to add it to their collection.
