These oval earrings are made of sterling silver, and they have the conjoined dl mark of Dawn Lucas, the Hopi silversmith who made them. She is the daughter of Glenn Lucas, one of the most well-known Hopi jewelry makers, and also one of the people who originated the distinct Hopi style of jewelry after World War II. This pair has post backs, and features two abstract designs made with high craftsmanship - the chisel marks in the darkened areas that are characteristic of Hopi jewelry are very fine, and the design is authentic and striking. They are in very good condition, with a smooth finish with a slight patina, and no damage or problems.
Each of these earrings measures 1 inch tall by 7/8 of an inch at its widest point, and each one weighs 6 grams, so you can wear them for as long as you want to in comfort. If you're a lover of fine Native American silver jewelry, these earrings would make a wonderful addition to your jewelry wardrobe, and they would also make a great gift for a like-minded person!
