This outstanding silver bolo tie, which is set with 17 matched nuggets of beautiful turquoise, has tested to be sterling, as have its tips, and it's marked Timothy Lee for the Navajo silversmith who made it. The sides of this tie are deeply hand-stamped and decorated, which sets off the turquoise and the silver balls in the center, and each tip also has a decorated dangle that is set with a turquoise nugget. Mr. Lee started making silver jewelry in the 1970's, and this tie probably dates to being made in the 1970's through the 1980's. It is in very good to excellent condition, with a new leather cord and no damage or problems.
The centerpiece of this bolo measures 2 1/2 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches at its widest point, and the tie is 36 inches long, not including the sterling tips, which are each 3 inches long, including the turquoise dangles. This exceptional quality and beauty of this piece would make it a prized addition to the collection of any bolo lover, and it could be worn and enjoyed for years to come.
