This inlaid bolo tie is made with raised, detailed inlays of shell and stone to make the figure of a Zuni clown kachina. It is signed Bev. Etsate Zuni for the silversmith Beverly Etsate, who specializes in this type of inlay work. It has decorations of silver balls and wire, and it is in very good condition, with a new leather cord, sterling silver tips, and no damage or problems with any of its parts.
The centerpiece of this bolo is 1 1/2 inches at its maximum height and a little over 1 1/8 inches wide, and the leather tie is 37 inches long, not including the tips, which are each 2 1/8 inches long. Because of its size, excellent workmanship, and subject, this bolo tie would be suitable for either a man or a woman to wear, and it would be a great addition to the collection of just about anyone who loves authentic Southwestern bolos.
