This well-made silver cuff bracelet is marked Sterling. and with the stamp of George Phillips, the Hopi silversmith who made it. Mr. Phillips learned to make silver jewelry at the Hopicrafts Guild, and he lives in the town of Oraibi on the Hopi reservation. This bracelet features a repeating abstract water wave design and is made with the overlay method that is used by this tribe, and although this cuff is not large, the patterns are sharp and clear. It is in very good condition, with a smooth finish and no damage or problems.
This bracelet is just under 3/8 of an inch wide all the way around, and it has an inside measurement of 5 3/4 inches, not including a gap of 1 inch. It weighs a very comfortable yet sturdy 17 grams, and it is slightly adjustable, although I would only do this once to fit, and not every time you put it on. If you love authentic Native American silver that has a subtle and more modern look, this may be the cuff you've been looking for.
