This striking modernist cuff is marked PJ Sterling Navajo for Peter (or Pete) Johnson, the Navajo silversmith who made it. It features a multi-hued turquoise cabochon that is mounted slightly above the curve of the bracelet, and it has been hand-chased to make its distinctive decoration. It is in very good condition, with a uniform finish and no damage or problems to any of its parts.
This well-made bracelet is 7/8 of an inch wide at the center, and it narrows to 1/2 of an inch wide near the ends. It has an inside measurement of 5 1/3 inches, not including a gap of 1 inch, and it is not really adjustable. At a weight of 31 grams, this cuff is sturdy but comfortable, and if you love Southwestern silver with a more up to date look, this piece would make a wonderful addition to your jewelry wardrobe.
