This most unusual Victorian locket features a mountain goat with an etched scenic background with a cannon ball rim. The locket measures a large 2 5/8ths inches (including the bail) by 1 5/8ths inches. The back is hallmarked Birmingham, sterling, what looks to be the letter "k" for 1884, and the maker's marks MJG. The locket has one metal insert. The back has several pin point areas of wear. Condition is very good for this striking period locket.
