These are unusual cups and saucers. These were probably issued as memorabilia from a church federation. Seems to be Lutheran or Presbyterian The style looks like transferware. Have one set in the color red and one set in blue. The Lamberton Scammell China Co. was started in Trenton, New Jersey in 1869 by Quaker businessmen. It closed in 1954 but a company in Ohio bought its equiptment and sold china under its name well into the 1990,s. Most of its business was in commercial china. They created china for hotels, ship liners and many stores like MACYS. Also, memorabilia for schools and organizations.
