Circa 1920s

This vintage engagement ring of a classic cluster design is crafted in platinum and 18K gold. The ring features a high quality 4.70 ct unheated Ceylon sapphire of an excellent light blue color with some violetish hue.

The sapphire is very sparkly and exceptionally clean – no visible inclusions or blemishes when viewed under 10x power loup. The center stone is surrounded by chunky old European and old mine cut diamonds (G-H-I color, VS2-SI1 clarity).

Total sapphire weight is 4.70 carats.

Estimated total diamond weight is 4.20 carats.

The sapphire and diamond cluster measures 11/16 x 5/8 in. (18 x 17 mm)

Marked with French import marks: an owl mark for 750 gold and a mask mark for 950 platinum.

Ring size 7.5 (17 mm) resizable

The ring is accompanied by the American Gemological Laboratories (AGL) Prestige Gemstone Report No. 1130528 for the sapphire.
