Art Deco Vintage Diamond Onyx Platinum Ring

Circa 1925 This elaborate, one-of-a-kind Art Deco era platinum engagement ring features an excellent 1.61 ct old European cut diamond (I-J color, VVS2 clarity). The diamond is set in an octagon shape bezel and flanked by four openwork panels embellished with sparkling old mine cut diamonds (F-G color, VS2-SI1 clarity). The diamond panels are separated by calibre cut black onyx set in channels. The weight of the principal diamond (1.61 ct) is engraved inside the shank. Estimated total diamond weight is 2.30 carats.
