Edwardian / early Art Deco, circa 1910
A finely crafted antique platinum-topped 18K gold ring is centered with a sparkling full Holland rose cut diamond (H color, VS2 clarity). The diamond measures approximately 7.55 x 7.34 x 2.9 mm with estimated weight of 1 carat. The center stone is encircled by a row of calibre cut natural sapphires of excellent royal blue color and a row of old rose cut diamonds. The back of the center diamond is covered with a finely hand-engraved platinum cap.
The ring is marked with later French platinum and gold import marks.
The diamond and sapphire top of a slightly oval shape measures 16 x 15 mm (5/8 x 9/16 in.)
Ring size 6.5 (17 mm) sizable.
