Red crystal lap over necklace from the Art Deco era. Made with a fine Victorian chain, the necklace measures 21.25 inches from tip to tip of the red crystal drops. These are not scarce, but most of the time found with blue crystal. Red in any era of costume jewelry is a treasure. The other remarkable thing about this necklace is that the crystals are not covered with flea bite chips. This one does have a couple pin pricks here and there, but nothing that is even visible without a loupe. The findings at the end are goldtone. The chain depends on the lighting. Looks like it once had a gold finish over the silver, but it's worn from age. Depending on the lighting, looks gold or silver.
