Scarce Coro Napoleon Fur Clip Figural Pin
The Coro Napoleon fur clip is a piece that is hard to come by. Coro manufactured duette fur clip pins in the 1940s and 1950s. Most of them that are figural and represent something other than an abstract design were made in the 40s, and few of them found are still in pairs with their pins. This Napoleon pin has a black hat and boots, red jacket with rhinestones, and blue pants. Usually the mate had the opposite coloring. There is a lever in back of his head that moves the eyes up and down.
Those of the Napoleon I've seen are always missing enamel here and there and still command a hefty price near $800. This one has a small chip of white out of one eye, and one corner of his hat is rubbed down to the base metal, both places that are normally affected for some reason. It measures 2.75 inch tall and is marked Coro, although its hard to see. We have priced our fur clip appropriate with wear.
