Czech Porcelain Pumpkin Sugar Creamer Set
Porcelain pumpkin set from the Turn of the Century is hand painted in orange with the creamer having a green leaf spout and vine wrapped around it. The handle is additionally painted in 24kt gold. The sugar bowl is 3.25 inches across and just over 1.5 inch high. It has a hire line crack as shown that is stable and appears to have been there for some time. The creamer, with the spout and handle is 3 inches across and 2.5 inches high. One side of the leaf was touched with a different color at the time of manufacturing which gives the impression of fall. Both pieces are ribbed and look like pumpkins.
This set is not Japanese, as they are usually marked and not as fine china as those made in Czechoslovakia. I remember my Aunt, who was born in the 1800s, having one of these sets, which I loved. They are very scarce. These will give any table a festive appearance this fall.
