Cat fishing in jelly belly bowl rare unsigned brooch 1946 - in American Costume Jewelry by Brunialti. This cat is sitting on a pillow of aqua square cut rhinestones. The tabletop and rim of the jelly belly fish bowl are accented with clear rhinestones. The brooch is 2-5/8 inches across, is marked sterling, and has a vermeil gold finish that is untouched by age. The bowl holds a goldfish and the cat definitely is not going at it like my cat would - she ate a full aquarium of them in one night. Good catch!
Though manufactured in the 1940s, this brooch has a rich Art Deco look to it.
