Large French made Limoges picture brooch. From the turn of the century, looks like Cupid pulling arrows out from their case from maidens pleas, as a cherub looks on. Lovely colors of greens, with brown and beige tones ranging up to dark peach and plum coloring. The porcelain moves back and forth some in the frame, but it is stable with back prongs. Twisted gilt metal surrounds the frame. Measures 3-1/16 wide by 2-5/8 high. No damage to procelaine, normal wear to frame finish.
Photo by mirror reflection is just a little smaller than life size. We recently saw a brooch similar to this one sell for $350.
