Blue Enamel Alligator Brooch of Pot Metal Rhinestones Moon-glow Cabochons
The Art Deco period finished up with an extensive array of delightful pot metal costume jewelry. This large alligator brooch (or crocodile), measuring 3.75 inches in length is one of such. Enameled in blue with his hunched back peppered in moon-glow blue stones, the rest of his back is paved in paste rhinestones which are all present. These 1930s pot metal pieces are some that most collectors treasure due to the whimsical talent of their unnamed designers. The only flaw after all these years is a small bit of enamel missing from one leg. Thankfully he's not as fierce as the one I found in one of our reference guides.
