Silverplate Whiting and Davis glass hermatite ring. Whiting & Davis was a major manufacturer of silver and silverplate costume jewelry in the 20th Century. They used glass in many of their pieces, often clear or black with a silver coating to imitate hermatite, as this ring. The rings are relatively scarce to find, and were adjustable as is this one, currently set at size 6.5. The silver is worn around the teeth setting and the curl embelishments, as well as the inside finger area of the band. The facet glass shows the most wear, but this ring is still a keeper and in what we would call good condition.
