Etched Victorian gold-filled buckle bangle FINAL REDUCTION SALE dated 1872
Many styles of buckle bracelets were available during the Victorian rage for the motif. This was the more affordable, made of a thin, more flexible metal. It is hammer etched throughout the buckle hole area. Closed in the first hole, where is appears to have been worn, it measures 2.5 inches across. It shows extensive wear at close inspection, but is still worthy of wear, and would look much better if polished. No doubt made in Europe, it is marked Pat. L 1872 March.19.
