Colorful 1930's Plastic Frame Purse with Mid Century Embroidery
The butterscotch plastic hinge frame from the 30s looks like Bakelite, but does not test positive. The colorful handle and body of the bag appears to be recreated during the 60s judging from the type of yarn used, although the lining looks old. Regardless, it is a cheery bright handbag that will go with anything, having all the colors of the rainbow, and then some. It's 9 inches across at the fullest area, and 7.25 inches high with another 6.5 inches of handle. We've noticed two lose threads on the handle and some scuffing on the outer rim from the fold over clasp hinge. It would benefit from a cleaning. I think the coloring appears a little brighter in the photos than in real life, with the frame looking a little duller.
