Flapper Simulated Pearl Necklace Sterling Clasp
Simulated or cultured off white pearl necklace that is 86 inches in length. The holes are drilled and the necklace feels too light weight to be glass, yet too heavy to be plastic. We are not jewelers and have a difficult time identifying true pearls. What we do note is that there are no scratches or peeling on these like you'd normally see on older faux pearls.
The necklace has an Art Deco tongue and groove clasp with rhinestones that is marked Sterling. There are two places where the individual knots between each pearl appears to be tied off, making us think it might have originally been a double strand necklace rather than a single. Whatever the case, it is extremely rare to find such a long pearl necklace in the flapper style.
