A turquoise tiepin, otherwise called a stick pin, was a nice addition to the toned down male attire from the century prior. In the late 19th to early 20th century tiepins gave a man the opportunity to show off his flair in dress. This pin measures 1-7/8 inch and carries a prong set piece of turquoise that I believe is plastic, although not certain of it. The shaft does not test positive for 10k gold, and may be a lower karat - or may not be.
