I am pleased to offer this very rare figural brooch, part of the oriental themed series, from the elusive HAR company.
This brooch dates to the late 1950's. Executed with remarkable detail and substantial weight, this is truly a sought after collectible piece of jewelry.
The well modeled face is enameled in shaded tones of olivine/green. A gold tone hoop earring swings from his pierced ear. Above a royal blue enamel robe,
sits a gilt filigree collar ringed with a row of small lustrous faux pearls. The turban, draped like real cloth is enameled in a variegated green/small blue stones are set in star mountings throughout the turban. a gilt band set with tiny green stones finishes the turban along with one large blue sapphire cabochon decorating its top.
