This item is a vintage Trifari Crown Brooch. Nine beautiful faux glass pearls adorn the top of the crown. Below them are a row of Nine emerald green rhinestones prong set. Between the arch below each emerald green rhinestones are Eight crystal clear rhinestones.
The "fitted" base of the crown is decorated with alternating clear and emerald Princess cut rhinestones. The interior of the "fitted" base is highlighted by a row of eleven glistening crystal clear rhinestones. (Please note: some of these clear rhinestones have yellowed with age). The back of the brooch is marked with "Sterling/Trifari (with the crown stamp above the "T"/Des. Pat. No.140779". The pin and clasp of the brooch are in good working condition. All the pearls and rhinestones are present and are not loose. The sterling has a gold vermeil wash to it. The Patent number, is dated from the mid 1940's. Alfred Philippe was the Designer for Trifari during this time. Good vintage condition. It measures 2.0" by 1 1/4".
