Classic 1940s Double Horses are two fur clips that fit into the Coro Duette mechanism.
This mechanism turns the two fur clips in a brooch. The matching earrings are clip-ons.
One fur clip is marked with the "Corocraft" logo in a rectangular cartouche. The fur clips are Stamped Sterling. 53 grams.
The pin mechanism is marked "Coro Duette" in script writing and "PAT. No. 1798867"
The earrings are simply marked "Coro" in script writing.
Now that all that descriptive info is done, let's get to one of the most recognizable Coro designed brooches. The horses have a stylized sleek moderne look with ruby red marquis rhinestone ears, an aqua marquis rhinestone eye, clear baguette rhinestone mane, and outlined with round clear rhinestones. The matching earrings have the same look with a small round turquoise glass rhinestone eye. There are highlights of black and red enameling.
