WMF Castor Salt Pepper Toothpick Holder Silver Plate. The castor set holds a crystal salt and pepper shaker with silver plate tops in perfect condition. There is a small compartment for keeping toothpicks and the round handle is for ease of lifting. The condition is good with some pitting around the salt and pepper insert mostly inside where it isn’t that noticeable when shakers are stored and again pitting inside the toothpick compartment. A small loss of silver on the top of toothpick compartment but overall condition is really quite attractive and unique. Marked by long inscription "WÜRTT. METALLW. FABRIK GEISLINGEN-STEIGE" and by the abbreviation "WMF" placed in a rectangle. The additional mark "NS" means Neusilber (Alpacca), which is an indication of a base metal for silver plating. This mark was used between 1918 and 1925. Measurements are as follows: 4 ½” Wide x 4 ¾” Depth x 4” High.
