Learning to Write" - Jennings Bros. — Circa 1936. Rare Silver finish on Metal. Measures 6-1/2" high x 2-3/4" wide x 3" deep. Weighs 5 1/2 lbs. the pair. On the bottom of one book end is a paper label in black and silver with JB initial in center and The Jennings Bros Mfg. Co Artware of Distinction. Inscribed on the base is JB 727. ON the second Bookend the felt is new and the base is also inscribed with JB 727 and much more legible than the bookend which has the label. Appears in Collectors Encyclopedia of Bookends. Minor wear and few scuff marks on an otherwise fine finish.
