Henry Barnascone & Son English Silver Plated Cake Dish Tray with four Ball and Claw Feet. The edge has a beautiful repousse design and in the center is a shield with repousse swag outlining it. The overall condition is very good with a few minor scratches which hardly effect the overall beauty of this cake dish tray. On the bottom in a shield is the H B & S mark also EP NS and A1 The cake dish measures: 10” Diameter and 1” High on the four ball and claw feet and dates from 1901-1934.
Henry Barnascone and his brother Lewis were Swiss emigrants who settled in Sheffield in early 1800s. Henry was a cutler active 1868-1883. From 1884 the firm became H. Barnascone & Son from 1901 to 1934 H. Barnascone & Sons (Ltd from 1909).
