The overall shape of this flask indicates it was intended to fit in a pocket or be carried as it does not stand up on its own. The 4 sides are all mitered and the corners all rounded. The general shape is slightly curved with the back concave, The opening at the top is intended for swigging and screws down. The lid is attached to a hinge so there is no problem worrying about it getting lost or misplaced. Made for quick swigs!
The design is simple but decorative with fine incised vertical lines down the front. The “HHK” monogram is in a small rectangle on the front in the perfect font for the flask design.
Size: Large, 9 1/2” from top to bottom, 4 3/8” across; about 1” thick. Weighs 12.8 actual ounces.
Condition: The flask has been used and has a dent on the bottom left corner, a dent on the lid cap, and several smaller dents on the front with overall signs of use. Saying all this, it is still an amazing piece of sterling silver from a fine American company.
