This is a lovely piece which will thrill any mother! Here's what it says: "Mother To one who bears the sweetest name And adds a luster to the same Who shares my joys Who Cheers when sad The greatest friend I ever had Long life to her, for there's no Other Can take the place of my dear Mother." This phrase is in a gold outline which is surrounded by hand painted floral décor and vines, accented with gold glitter all around. The wooden frame is a light green, also hand carved and painted around both the inside and outside rims. The frame measures 7 inches high; 5 ¼ inches wide. The original label is on the back "A Decorative Craft; Florentia; Hand Made in Italy". The original paper backing is still on the piece, which has a glass cover. This is definitely a treasure from history and I know it will delight any Mother!
