This gorgeous little compote has exquisite gilding on each of the nine leaves which end in a point; as well as dividing each leave. The pontil on the bottom has been polished down, but it is still visible. The depth of the bowl is approximately 1 inch; the width across the top diameter is 6 ¼ inches. I've included a photograph of this piece using a black light to demonstrate the uranium content. The gilding work is beautifully done and is in pretty good condition, considering the age of this piece. It certainly will look good out on any table.
