This pretty cup and saucer has such intricate, detailed gold designs, on a dainty yellow background, which encompasses the entire rim of the saucer and the inside rim of the cup. These bands are followed by a gold band, then white with scalloped gold decor, and finally another thinner gold band, and a pure white center. The outside of the cup is all while, with one thin gold band around the bowl, and another thicker gold band on the base of the ribbed foot. The stunning handle is all gold...
They have the mark on the bottom that was used from 1891 – 1920 by Coalport China in England. They were one of the most famous English manufacturers of bone china, ranging from traditional tableware to a unique variety of collectors' pieces for over two centuries beginning in 1750. I think you will agree this is a fine example of their exquisite work.
