Magnificent and very unique cup and saucer by the most distinguished Old Paris porcelain artisan, Jacob Petit. Every inch of both the cup (inside and outside) and the saucer is decorated with a design of urns and floral vines with curving limbs going in all directions. There is a multitude of colors and design all around. In the style of this period, the rims of both the cup and saucer, and the handle are decorated in gold.
It has the blue mark of "JP" with the appropriate dots. This was the mark that he used during the period between 1830 and 1862. The saucer is 5 ½" wide. The cup is 1 ¾" high with a width of 3 ½". I think you will agree as to uniqueness of this cup and saucer, not only in age, but in the décor.
