This sweet pair of Gorham sterling silver heart shaped bonbon (candy) dishes would make a lovely Valentines gift for the one you love. These were made by the renowned silversmiths at Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence, Rhode Island. They are stamped Gorham Sterling along with their maker's mark and pattern number 966, as shown in the last photo. No date mark is present which dates these pieces from 1933 to 1941.
The dish stands on three ball feet and has an intricately detailed bowl with chased and repousse scrolls, pierced quatrefoil designs, and a dynamic scroll and flower border. These bowls are in very good condition and measure approximately 1 1/8" high, are 5" long and 4 ¾" wide.
This lovely pair of silver candy dishes would add a wonderful touch to any table setting, and is a great way to show your love. This gift will be around for many years to come.
