This is a fine example of the works from Dresden, although I have not been able to identify the maker's mark which is on the bottom of the piece. It looks similar to a design by J. J. Kandler, with the addition of the adorable sleeping dog. The colors and design are just exquisite, and the sincerity of their gazes is so sincere. The lady is wearing a floral hat which accents her floral designed skirt. The young lad is wearing a fanciful black hat draped with a scarf. The dog looks very content while they are resting on the rock; giving him a chance to catch a nap.
This piece stands approximately six inches high and six inches wide, the depth is four and three quarters inches wide. It is a very heavy piece, weighing close to one and half pounds.
There is no known or visible damage on this item that is not noted.
