This is a Victorian pocket watch stand made of mahogany or walnut. It will hold a pocket watch that is no more than 1 5/8" in diameter. There is a little round mirror below the watch rest which is intact but in very worn shape, as well as two brass hooks on each spindled post to hold a watch chain, I imagine.
The stand is in excellent condition for its age except for a small crack in the wood surrounding the little mirror. The pocket watch rest is lined with sift dark blue velvet. It can pivot and can be adjusted with screws on either side of the posts.
Dimensions are: 5 7/8" high, 3 3/4" in diameter at the base. The mirror is 1 5/8".
