Up for sale is this RARE CLEVELAND, AKRON, & COLUMBUS BRASS HEART SHAPED SWITCH LOCK in excellent condition. This lock comes with a nice patina and is marked C A & C RR on the shackle and hallmarked with Union Brass Mfg. Co. on the key hole cover which has a strong spring. The shackle is marked with a "S" on the reverse. The CA& C originated in 1851 and became incorporated as the CA & C in 1881. It later was absorbed by the Pennsy as the Akron Division, then Penn Central in 1969. Truly, a fine old lock in excellent condition. It would make an treasured addition to any railroadiana collection. The description and pictures accurately describe this lock.
