Up for sale is this NICE ALBANY SLIP 3 GALLON BUTTER CHURN, Ca. 1880-1890 in excellent condition. This churn displays a shiny tan colored glaze similar to Ft. Dodge area butter churns. It stands 13 1/4 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches across with a three incised at the top. There are no chips and one old rim crack that is closed and extends 1 1/2 inches. The churn has been well cared for with some of the characteristic lime stains to the interior. Truly, a beautiful period piece that would be a welcome addition to any stoneware collection. The old original dasher and newer lid are included for additional postage. The description and pictures accurately describe this churn.
