Up for sale is this Nice 1890's English Scalloped Spongeware Milk Pitcher in excellent condition. This pitcher measures 7 inches high by 4 3/4 inches across the bottom. This pitcher has a nice shiny glaze with a scalloped top and a "chickenwire" sponge pattern. It is free of any cracks, hairlines or significant chips. It does have normal age crazing and two in the making nibbles(inner spout & rear inner rim) that are glazed over. Truly a nice Victorian Era pitcher of the late 1800's vintage. The description and pictures accurately describe this piece. It would make an excellent addtion to any English stoneware collection.
