Rare early 20th century Black Americana cast iron soap dish. Paint shows wear for her many years, with some paint chips on her face, but overall in nice condition. The soap dish is designed to be removed and has been cast to resemble a wicker laundry basket and is painted an off white. Her dress is a pretty sea green with a yellow shawl, and red dots on her off-white kerchief.
She is slightly shy of 5" tall and is 2 1/8" across at the widest points.
A warm and charming vintage piece of early Black Americana! Other than being cleaned up, we have NOT tried to repair her paint.
