This is a lovely and unique large flint glass milk-white (milk glass) fruit bowl. It has an unusually large closed lattice edge of 2-1/4". Hold the bowl up to a strong light and you can see the reddish opalescence in the edges of the lattice work and you can see through the white. This large bowl would look wonderful on a dining room table or server. It can hold fruit or pastries. It would look lovely with artificial flowers, or just by itself. It may have been made by the Westmoreland Specialty Co. in the early 1900's (or earlier) before the company became the Westmoreland Company. There is a wire attached to the rim of the small foot of the bowl. It can be hung on a wall and would really make a statement. It is large enough to command attention. The dimensions are: 12" diameter and the rim on the bottom is 4-3/4" diameter.
The condition is perfect.
