This is a lovely set of Georges Briard, 1950's, glassware. The larger bowl is for shrimp or chips, and the smaller bowl holds the dip. There was a small plastic holder for the smaller bowl to fit on the larger bowl. However, it was awkward to use and so it disappeared. It is clear glass with a real gold decoration. Because of the gold, it should be washed by hand. You may use the bowls together or separately. The dimensions are: large bowl = 10-1/4" diameter and the small bowl = 5-3/8" diameter. They are in perfect shape with the gold sightly worn in a few places.
George Briard was a famous designer of the 50's through the 70's. He used gold on many of his items.
