Good examples of dark blue Staffordshire transfer ware is not as plentiful as they once were. This
beautiful soup by W. Adams, c. 1810-25 is a great example. The impressed mark on the back denotes the dates. It is also marked Dilston Towers, Northcmberland in a dark blue floral cartouche. Notice the 'u' is missing in Northcmberland. The border has tulip, mums and other flowers. The center motif has two men fishing with a tower in the distance. The diameter is 10-1/16". The condition is perfect except for a few normal glaze imperfections. I do not think it was ever used. I have photographed all the elements.
