A very unusual color for porcelain demitasse. These are labeled on the bottom as: 6131 yellow Czechoslovakia. The yellow glaze is bright and on the outside of each cup and the inside of the saucer. The handle is white and square shaped but easy to handle. They date to the 1920-30's and definitely are Art Deco. The cup is 2-1/6" high and 2" diameter. The saucer is 4-3/8" diameter. Serving coffee in demitasse cups was very popular in the 20's and 30's. Now, they can still be used for coffee, or they are a nice size for a very rich dessert.
One cup has a tiny hairline crack and one saucer has a blemish. Otherwise they are lovely, especially for their age.
