A beautiful and very old English pink lustre (or luster) cup and saucer dating from the early 1800's. The pink lustre (made by using gold) is decorated with darker pink lustre and green, blue and red design along with white reserves on creamware. The so called "Spode" handle dates from around 1805. The saucer is deep which denotes an early age. This is lovely decorative piece or accent to any room. The dimensions are: saucer is 5-1/2" diameter and approximately 5/8" high. The cup is 3-1/2" diameter and 2-1/2" high. Pink lustre was made by many potteries.
The condition is wonderful considering its age. There is a small crack in the cup on the inside which show through very little on the outside.
